Is Spindrift really free?
Yes — the free tier is genuinely useful. You get up to 5 projects, 5 stash items, and 2 wheels, with no time limit. The spinning calculators, dark mode, the session timer, and cross-device sync are part of Spindrift Annual.
What's included in Spindrift Annual?
Everything in Free, plus unlimited projects, unlimited stash, and unlimited wheels — along with all the spinning calculators (WPI, grist, plying, shrinkage), dark mode, the session timer, and cross-device sync. It's £19.99 a year (or $24.99 in the US).
Does it work offline?
Yes. Your data is stored on your device and works without a connection. Spindrift Annual adds cross-device sync via a Spindrift account, which needs internet to sync.
What happens to my projects if I cancel?
Nothing is ever deleted. If you cancel and later return to the free tier, all of your projects, stash, and wheels are kept safe. Anything over the free limits is simply hidden from view — and the moment you resubscribe to Spindrift Annual, everything reappears exactly as you left it.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes, any time. Cancel from your iPhone's Settings → Subscriptions. You'll return to the free tier, and as above, your full library stays on your device — over-limit items are just hidden until you resubscribe.

Yes. Your data belongs to you. We don't sell it, share it, or use it for advertising. Read our full privacy policy for details.
What iPhones does it work on?
Spindrift requires iOS 16 or later, which covers iPhones from the iPhone 8 onwards.
