Privacy Policy

The short version: Spindrift collects minimal data, doesn't sell it, and you can delete everything at any time.

Who we are

Spindrift is developed by Coralina Studio, based in Hull, England. If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at support@spindriftapp.com.

What data we collect

We collect only what's necessary to provide the app's features:

Account data — if you create a Spindrift account (required for Pro sync), we store your email address and a securely hashed password.
App content — your stash entries, projects, wheel records, and settings are stored on your device and, for Pro subscribers, synced to our secure servers.
Photos — if you add photos to stash entries (Pro feature), these are stored in our secure cloud storage. EXIF metadata (including location data) is stripped before upload.

What we do not collect

We do not collect location data
We do not track your activity across other apps or websites
We do not collect analytics or usage data beyond what's required for crash reporting
We do not sell your data to third parties
We do not use your data for advertising

How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide the Spindrift app's features — stash management, project tracking, and cross-device sync for Pro subscribers. We do not use it for any other purpose.

Third-party services

Spindrift uses the following third-party services:

Supabase — secure database and file storage for Pro accounts. Data is stored on servers in the EU. Supabase Privacy Policy
RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat processes purchase data to manage your subscription. RevenueCat Privacy Policy

Data storage and security

Free tier data is stored only on your device. Pro subscriber data is stored on Supabase servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We use Row Level Security to ensure you can only access your own data.

Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain, not in plain storage.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Access your data — all your data is visible directly in the app
Delete your account and all associated data — use the "Delete account" option in your Profile screen, or contact us at support@spindriftapp.com
Export your data — contact us and we will provide a copy

To delete your account and all data: open Spindrift → Profile → Delete account. This permanently removes all your data from our servers within 30 days.

Children's privacy

Spindrift is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by email. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
